WHAT IS YOUR SATISFACTION GUARANTEE?
We guarantee all wedding gowns and accessories to be brand new and free from any manufacturer defects. We inspect each and every wedding gown for quality assurance. Should you find a problem with your order please notify Elegant Gowns within 3 business days and we will either repair or replace your gown at no charge. Please keep in mind that due to shipping your gown will need to be steamed, therefore wrinkling is not considered a defect.
DOES ELEGANT GOWNS ACCEPT RETURNS FOR BRIDAL GOWNS?
Yes! Elegant Gowns is one of the very few on-line bridal salons to accept returns for Bridal Gowns. Please follow the instructions very carefully as any return/exchange which does not follow our procedures in a timely manner, will not qualify for a return. There will be a 10% restocking charge, minimum $30.00, for all gown returns and exchanges. For returns, the credit will be refunded to the credit card used for payment and processed within 5 business days of our receipt of the gown. Gowns that are "Featured Gowns" are offered at special, temporary price cuts - restocking fees for these gowns will be calculated based on the regular price, not the special featured price.

*The 10% restocking charge will be based on Elegant Gowns’ Regular Price for the gown. If you purchase the gown with one of our special coupons, the restocking charge will be calculated based on our Regular Price, not the coupon price. Minimum restocking charge is $30.00

DOES ELEGANT GOWNS ACCEPT RETURNS FOR BRIDESMAID DRESSES?
Elegant Gowns cannot accept bridesmaid dresses for return. If the bridesmaid dress you ordered is the wrong size, we may be able to accommodate a discount for a new dress, but we cannot accept the original dress for return.
I ORDERED THE WRONG SIZE IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN DO?
Most of our wedding gowns can be easily altered up or down a size. Please also keep in mind that most bridal gowns will need at least some alterations to achieve the perfect fit and will need to be steamed before your big day.
If you order your wedding gown and find that it is too big or too small and your seamstress cannot alter the discount bridal dress to your size, please follow the Return procedures very carefully for a size exchange Any size exchange request that does not follow our procedures in a timely manner, will not qualify for exchange.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Your order is placed immediately with our supplier, therefore once you submit your order it cannot be cancelled. Should you change your mind, please notify Elegant Gowns immediately and we will attempt to cancel your order. We make no guarantees that the order will be able to be cancelled, but we will do our best to accommodate your request. If we are successful in canceling your order, a cancellation charge of 10% or $30 (whichever is less) may be applied. *The Cancellation Charge does not apply for orders that Elegant Gowns cancels due to the delivery estimate being too long to accommodate your wedding date.
WHAT IF I FIND THE GOWN FOR LESS SOMEWHERE ELSE?
Unfortunately in the age of technology there are many websites that may use the same pictures to advertise their gowns. We do our best to protect our images however since our line of gowns is a private collection we cannot price-match to other websites because we cannot know the quality of the other company's gowns. We have done extensive research over the years to find a high-quality factory to make our gowns for us and have found that many of the other websites brides find are for overseas factories that have sub-par quality. WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
Elegant Gowns requires Payment in Full when placing your order. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Payment can also be made through PayPal.
IS ELEGANTGOWNS.COM A SECURE SITE?
In one word - YES! We recently (January 2012) upgraded our online store to be even more secure than it was before. It is so secure that we don't even see the expiration date of your credit card. Of course we understand some customers are more comfortable placing their order over the phone, so please call us at Toll Free at 1-866-324-4749 to place your order if that is your preference.
I DO NOT LIVE WITHIN THE US; CAN I STILL ORDER THROUGH ELEGANT GOWNS?
Yes! International customers will be responsible for the cost of shipping. For International purchases, there may be customs and/or duty tax imposed. All duties, taxes or other fees are the responsibility of the customer and Elegant Gowns is not liable for a shipping delay caused by a package held up at the airport or other port of entry due to unpaid duties or taxes. To avoid unexpected delays or charges, please check with your local authorities before placing your order.
*International orders are eligible for our return policy, however, shipping charges are non-refundable, you might not be able to recuperate import taxes/duties, and the customer is responsible for the entire cost of the return shipment. If exchanging the item, the custom is also responsible for covering the cost of shipping for the new item.
WHAT IS THE COST OF SHIPPING?
For all bridal gowns featured on our store & orders over $199.00 USD, Elegant Gowns offers FREE shipping within the continental US. From there shipping will depend on what you order. Smaller orders, i.e. for veils, headpieces, flower girl dresses, etc. currently ship for a flat rate of $12.00 within the US, and international rates for these items start at $40.00.
Bridal Gown shipping rates:
Shipping to AK, HI, PR: $30.00 & up USD
International orders will ship via express mail through the United States Post Office.
The exact amount will be emailed to you after placing your order, once we have the approximate weight of your package and your shipping address. You will need to respond via email with approval for the additional shipping charges or your order will be cancelled. Or you can feel free to email us the items you plan to order & your country to get a shipping estimate, which you can then include in your order (instructions will be provided via email).
Express Shipping options (Overnight, 2-Day, and 3-Day) for US Customers through FedEx are also available at an additional cost. Call or email us to check availability and get more details.
CAN I HAVE MY DRESS SHIPPED TO MY HOME?
All gowns are shipped with a Signature Required for delivery. We strongly suggest that you consider using your work address as the shipping address if there is no one at your place of residence during the day to sign for the package. A signature is a viable tracking tool that eliminates the worry of the whereabouts of your order. An Email will be sent the day your order is being shipped with the tracking number. Please allow up to 5-7 business days for the order to arrive.
All shipping addresses must be specific and complete with the correct name, any Apartment or Loft information, Company Name, Suite number, City, State and Zip Code.
If any of the shipping information changes, you must notify us prior to our shipment of the order to you. UPS/FedEx charges $15.00 to re-route a package. The individual receiving the package would be responsible to pay this fee before the package could be resent or rerouted.
IS THERE SALES TAX?
Sales tax will be charged for orders with California shipping addresses at the rate of 7.25%
WHERE CAN I TRY THE DRESSES ON?
Elegant Gowns is exclusively an On-line Discount Bridal Salon. Our gowns are a Private Collection, not designer-labeled. While salons also sell similar gowns with designer labels throughout the US, we do not have any way of determining which designer each gown is marketed by. Elegant Gowns prices our gowns keeping in mind that some of our brides may not wear the gown they purchase from me for their wedding. We also offer a generous return policy.
CAN I ORDER MY GOWN WITH CUSTOM LENGTH?
Our discount bridal gowns are cut to standard lengths according to the size ordered. Please review the size chart for more details. Custom length is only available from the Divine collections at an additional cost. Custom length also excludes the gown from our return policy.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Clearance Gowns & Sale Items: All Clearance gowns and Sale Items are in stock & available to ship within 2-3 business days. You can expect delivery anywhere from 1 week to 2 weeks depending on your shipping address.
Divine Bridal & Bridesmaid Gowns: These gowns are available for delivery within 10-14 weeks. Rush delivery of 6-8 weeks is also available for $100.00 additional for Bridal Gowns. Rush Delivery is also an option for bridesmaid dresses & is calculated based on the number of gowns ordered.
Illusions Bridal Veils, Headpieces, Jewelry, & More: Most items are available to ship within 2-3 business days, for delivery to you within 1-2 weeks. Custom Veils take longer to process and will usually ship in approximately 7-10 business days. If an item is on Back Order, the customer will be notified within 48 hours with the estimated date the item is expected back in stock & given the option to either cancel the order, or to proceed with the order’s estimated ship date.
Peanut Butter Collection: Ring Bearer Tuxes and Flower Girl Dresses -- Most items are available to ship within 2-3 business days, for delivery to you in 1-3 weeks. If an item is on Back Order, the customer will be notified within 48 hours with the estimated date the item is expected back in stock & given the option to either cancel the order, or to proceed with the order’s estimated ship date.
Love Two Slips: Crinolines, Hoop Slips, Bras, Accessories -- Most items are available to ship within 2-3 business days, for delivery to you in 1-3 weeks. If an item is on Back Order, the customer will be notified within 48 hours with the estimated date the item is expected back in stock & given the option to either cancel the order, or to proceed with the order’s estimated ship date.
HOW DO YOU OFFER SUCH QUICK SHIPPING WHERE ELSEWHERE IT CAN TAKE 6-9 MONTHS TO RECEIVE MY GOWN ORDER?
Almost every order will be able to be delivered to you within 3 months of placing the order. Elegant Gowns partners with bridal wholesale companies who understand that brides cannot and often are not able to wait 6-9 months for their gowns and accessories. We partner with suppliers who keep generous stock of their product, and factories who offer much quicker shipping than normal.
In addition, the Designer gowns you see in salons wait to receive "x" amount of orders before they submit their order to their factory in order to receive a bulk rate / lower per-gown price on the gowns to increase their profit margin. Elegant Gowns does NOT do this. When you place your order, your order is sent to our factory immediately. We also pay for your order in full up front which means once the factory has completed your gown, they ship it immediately to me. Other companies will wait until the gowns are completed before remitting payment to the factory which can add up to 2 weeks to their processing time.
ARE ALL YOUR WEDDING GOWNS REALLY PRICED FROM ONLY $299.00 to $669.00?
Absolutely. There are no gowns at Elegant Gowns that sell for over $669.00 and the average price of our gowns is only $450.00 including continental US shipping, a gown bag, and garter! You get quality gowns at affordable prices. And our Clearance Area often has gowns starting at just $149.00!
WHAT IF I FIND THE GOWN OF MY DREAMS AND I’M NOT READY TO BUY IT YET? (I’m not ready financially or I want to show others.) CAN YOU HOLD THE GOWN FOR ME?
Elegant Gowns suggests purchasing your gown as soon as you have decided on the style you wish to purchase, as prices are subject to change at any time. If you are not financially ready to purchase your gown, Elegant Gowns offers a lay-a-way plan. A 50% deposit is required and the balance must be paid in full within 60 days, with NO additional charges. Each 30-day extension beyond the 60 days will incur an additional $25.00 holding fee to be added to the final amount due. Gowns not paid for in full within 120 days will be cancelled and all monies paid forfeited. The gown will ship upon receipt of full payment We accept Credit & Debit cards from Visa or MasterCard as well as Discover & PayPal.
HOW IS ELEGANT GOWNS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER ONLINE BRIDAL STORES?
Elegant Gowns goes right to the source to purchase our beautiful gowns. The gowns we sell are of the same high quality as the designers sold in traditional salons and by other online retailers.
